Frustrating Expectations: Top 3 Hottest Topics this Week Across the Country
Gathered from various tweets and Facebook statuses, the following list are 3 of the most talked about subjects the entire week. Wonder what topped the list?

3. Georgina Wilson on ANTM’s All-Star Episode
- Admit it, you actually expected Georgina Wilson to be one of the judges, or perhaps have a longer exposure than this one. Georgina Wilson was on hype for 2 days on Twitter and everybody was excited to see her. Although Ms. Wilson left a striking quote: “No offense, but it’s easier to change the model than the prototype.”, it was a little disappointing for us viewers who expected something more than that. Just to keep it really fair and amicable, Georgina Wilson looks absolutely gorgeous on camera.

2. Mang Inasal: The infamous 11.11.11 Promo Hoax
- Who could ever not know anything about the 11.11.11 Promo since it was being screened on television nearly 3 times with different concepts one after the other? A few days before November 11, 2011 struck, people rapidly spread the not-so-good news stating: “Mang Inasal will be giving away 11 chickens, 11 cups of rice, 11 glasses of coke for only 11.00php per individual. If not consumed, one should pay 1,111.00php as a penalty.” That was non-verbatim, though. But, that’s how the hoax went. Soon enough, people found out the most credible yet disappointing information about the promo: Mang Inasal simply wanted to showcase a new plethora of food partnering it with unlimited Coca-Cola soda. With all the hype and great expectations that had happened, people were terribly disappointed with what Mang Inasal had offered on their promo day. And really, who would even want to consume bottles of soda? Unless -of course- first time mo mag-coke.

1. The ever-disappointing Banchetto Wishing Lanterns Event
- If you haven’t read Banchetto’s official statement, then kindly look for them on Facebook and expect hundreds, if not thousands, of people angrily complaining and ranting towards the unintended and unexpected cancellation of the event. Oh yes, these people might have purchased and reserved a lantern; however, others were just joining the bandwagon as if they did purchase one. Thousands of people were supposed to fly these cute lanterns, but they ended up having “Wishing Papers” that were concurrently burned at 11:11 and placed the ashes in this so-called “ampao”. I’m not sure if there were still participants on the said event, but I’m definitely sure that more than 1/3 of the expected visitors rather stayed home and played with their matches and lit tissue papers.

- Cuenca Lantern Festival -somewhere in Alabang- was successful, though.
If I missed a hot topic that was discussed the entire week, please do remind me of it. Thank you and happy November 12.
